Booties, Bellies and Core 


Booties, Bellies and Core was co-created in 2021 by Nicole Ellis and Karyn Golgart. It’s a 30 minute total body workout inspired by Urban Dance Fitness. 

It incorporates both body weight and resistance band exercises as well as cardio. The class is structured in 6 week sessions. The first 2 weeks of a series we use light or no resistance, the middle 2 weeks we use medium and the last 2 weeks we bump up to heavy resistance. After the 6 weeks are up, we start again with a whole new series! 

Like Urban Dance, the workout routines are set to great music and designed in such a way that beginners up to advanced fitness levels are welcome. This class is an excellent addition to any workout schedule.

Karyn has an extensive background in the fitness industry. She became an ACE certified personal trainer in 2010 with additional certifications in designing sports conditioning workouts, hydration, fitness nutrition, sports nutrition for health and performance and sports performance training. 

She has worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2008, teaching a variety of classes: boot camps, core, HIIT, step aerobics and sports conditioning. She worked as a high school strength and conditioning coach for 5 years and has trained a number of youth soccer and basketball teams as well as individual college athletes. 

She was introduced to Urban Dance Fitness in 2018. It ignited in her a genuine passion for dance, dance fitness, and choreography. She has been an official UDF instructor for 2 1/2 years.
